Deck overview

This deck is a focused Jeskai Hero typal and +1/+1 counters combat deck led by Captain America, Team Leader. The core game plan focuses on casting the commander on Turn 3, followed by a steady curve of Hero creatures that immediately gain haste, vigilance, and +1/+1 counters upon entering. By turning every incoming Hero into an immediate modified attacker, the deck bypasses summoning sickness delays and triggers aggressive combat draw engines like SP//dr, Piloted by Peni and Biorganic Carapace. High-end payoffs like War Machine, Avenging Arsenal and She-Hulk, Wallbreaker grant team-wide double strike and trample to close out games through overwhelming physical pressure. Asymmetric tools like Raise the Palisade clear opposing blockers while leaving the Hero squad intact. The deck features strong functional redundancy and solid engine recovery, though it relies heavily on combat and must navigate opponent sweepers.
