Commander: Y'shtola, Night's Blessed

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed is an Esper control-drain deck that turns every 3-plus mana noncreature spell into two damage and two life while rewarding the same life-loss pattern with extra cards. Sygg, River Cutthroat acts as a hidden secondary commander, duplicating the end-step draw trigger. The primary plan is to stabilize with removal and pillow-fort enchantments, drain with Y'shtola, Kambal, and Talion, then assemble one of the redundant life-gain/life-loss pairs-Vito or Enduring Tenacity with Bloodthirsty Conqueror or Exquisite Blood-to loop infinitely. The commander is an engine, not a combo piece, so the deck can still win without her through the redundant loop and Exsanguinate, though noticeably slower.
