Deck overview

This deck is a five-color midrange and spellslinger build dedicated to the flavor and mechanics of Strixhaven: School of Mages, commanded by Ramos, Dragon Engine. The deck unites all five Strixhaven colleges—Silverquill, Prismari, Witherbloom, Lorehold, and Quandrix—showcasing their modal Commands, Charms, Deans, and Elder Dragons. In the early game, the strategy focuses on fixing mana and developing lands through cards like Cultivate, Nature's Lore, and Arcane Signet. Once Ramos lands on Turn 5 or 6, every multicolored Strixhaven spell rapidly loads the Dragon Engine with +1/+1 counters. Removing five counters yields a ten-mana burst of all five colors, powering game-ending sorceries like Crackle with Power or Exponential Growth. Alternatively, the deck can pivot into an overwhelming board presence by deploying powerhouse Elder Dragons such as Velomachus Lorehold, Beledros Witherbloom, and Tanazir Quandrix. While it trades competitive efficiency for thematic flavor, the deck delivers explosive mana turns and immense late-game versatility.
