Deck overview

Splinter, Radical Rat leads an Esper Ninja tempo deck that leverages cheap unblockable enablers, the Ninjutsu mechanic, and trigger doubling. By deploying evasive creatures on early turns, the deck reliably sneaks in high-impact Ninjas during combat. Once Splinter enters the battlefield, all triggered abilities of your Ninjas trigger an additional time, supercharging combat damage effects. Engines like Ingenious Infiltrator and Ninja of the Deep Hours generate rapid card advantage, while Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow, Shredder, Shadow Master, and Dark Leo & Shredder apply massive life-loss pressure across the entire table. The deck pairs this aggressive combat engine with targeted disruption from Okiba-Gang Shinobi and Throat Slitter, backed by countermagic such as Dovin's Veto. While susceptible to board wipes that clear both enablers and Ninjas, the deck achieves lethal pressure on Turn 5 and closes games on Turn 7.
