Deck overview

This mono-black Aristocrats deck is commanded by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, focusing on high-density sacrifice engines, symmetric edict effects, and relentless life drain. The deck develops recursive creatures like Forsaken Miner, Bloodghast, and Reassembling Skeleton before deploying Sephiroth on Turn 3. On Turn 4 to 5, casting multi-player edicts such as Fleshbag Marauder or Plaguecrafter causes four simultaneous creature deaths, transforming Sephiroth into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel and granting the permanent, uninteractable Super Nova emblem. With Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos active, the deck establishes an oppressive creature lock that clears opposing boards every turn cycle while generating card advantage through Skullclamp and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. Opponents are steadily drained across two response cycles through stacked drain triggers and combat damage, culminating in a Turn 7 finish amplified by Archfiend of Despair and Massacre Wurm.
