Deck overview

This deck is a classic minimalist glass-cannon combo build centered on Varragoth, Bloodsky Sire and a 95-Swamp shell. The entire strategy revolves around casting Varragoth on Turn 3 and using its Boast ability on consecutive attack steps to tutor Lake of the Dead and Ad Nauseam to the top of the library. On Turn 6, Lake of the Dead accelerates the mana pool to 7 black mana, allowing the pilot to cast Ad Nauseam, draw the entire deck with negligible life loss, deploy Dark Sphere, and cast Sickening Dreams. By discarding 45 Swamps and activating Dark Sphere to halve incoming damage, the deck deals 45 lethal damage to all opponents while preserving the pilot's life total. The deck features maximum land consistency and zero variance in early sequencing, but sacrifices all interaction, backup lines, and defensive shielding.
