Deck overview

This competitive Temur deck is an explosive storm and combo strategy led by Xyris, the Writhing Storm. While Xyris serves as an enormous value engine—flooding the board with 1/1 Snake tokens and drawing massive hands off wheel effects like Wheel of Fortune and Timetwister—the deck's primary objective is racing toward compact, same-turn infinite combos. Its main win conditions are Dualcaster Mage paired with Twinflame to generate infinite hasty attackers, and Underworld Breach loops with Lion's Eye Diamond and Brain Freeze. Supported by premier fast mana (Mox Diamond, Chrome Mox, Mana Vault) and a robust free interaction suite (Deflecting Swat, Fierce Guardianship, Force of Will, Veil of Summer), the deck consistently threatens protected game-ending lines on Turn 3 while maintaining high resilience through graveyard recursion and explosive token-based mana acceleration.
