Deck overview

This deck uses Hawkeye, Young Avenger to amplify every separate instance of noncombat damage from red pingers and spells. The main engine combines Hawkeye, Young Avenger with creatures such as Firebrand Archer, Electrostatic Field, Guttersnipe, and Thermo-Alchemist. Cheap noncreature spells then produce several damage triggers at once. Torbran, Thane of Red Fell, Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Gratuitous Violence, and City on Fire can raise the ceiling, but they are expensive and not reliably assembled with the commander and pingers. The deck has useful artifact and creature interaction, plus symmetrical pressure from Manabarbs and Sulfuric Vortex. Its central weakness is access: it must draw a commander, multiple creatures, and a continuing stream of spells. It can create a dangerous table-wide burn engine around turn 7, but it lacks a dependable compact finish, strong protection density, and a reliable recovery engine after a board wipe.
