Deck overview

This Naya deck converts +1/+1 counter placement into direct burn damage and overwhelming combat pressure. Led by Shalai and Hallar, the deck establishes early board presence through low-cost counter amplifiers like Hardened Scales and Conclave Mentor. By turn 4, the commander enters the battlefield, turning every subsequent counter addition into targeted burn against opponents. Midgame powerhouses such as Cathars' Crusade, Sovereign Okinec Ahau, and Loyal Guardian dramatically scale counter distribution, melting opposing life totals while building massive attackers. Evasion providers like Abzan Falconer and Pridemalkin ensure grounded blockers cannot stall the board. A resilient suite of reactive protection spells defends the core engine from sweepers and removal, allowing the deck to close games quickly across turns 6 through 8.
