Deck overview

The deck uses Teval, the Balanced Scale as a value engine. Its attacks mill cards, return lands, and create Zombie Druids when cards leave the graveyard. Land-recursion cards such as Life from the Loam, Aftermath Analyst, Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, and Will of the Sultai help it recover resources and build a board. The list also supports creature reanimation through Entomb, Buried Alive, Reanimate, Victimize, and Living Death. Its interaction is respectable, with several counterspells and flexible removal. However, the deck lacks a compact, reliable win condition. Craterhoof Behemoth can end games with a large board, but the list does not consistently assemble that board and payoff together. The graveyard plan is also exposed to removal and graveyard hate. It is therefore a general midrange engine deck with good value potential, not a reliable fast-combo or lockout deck.
