Deck overview

This mono-red Dragon tribal deck harnesses Lathliss, Dragon Queen to transform high-cost Dragon spells into overwhelming airborne armies. Supported by a robust suite of cost-reducing creatures, mana rocks, and 38 lands, the deck accelerates into mid-game Dragon threats that trigger Lathliss to generate 5/5 flying Dragon tokens. ETB damage enhancers like Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas turn creature deployment into direct burn, while heavy-hitting finishers like Utvara Hellkite and Terror of Mount Velus rapidly close out games through overwhelming combat steps. While the deck boasts high internal redundancy and substantial battlefield power, its reliance on expensive nonland permanents and lack of countermagic make it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and single-target removal. Nevertheless, independent bombs in the 99 ensure the deck remains dangerous even when its commander is suppressed.
