Deck overview

This deck is a Simic Sea Monster stompy strategy centered around Kenessos, Priest of Thassa. The primary game plan is to ramp in the opening turns, sculpt the top of the library using scry effects and cantrips like Brainstorm and Ponder, and then activate Kenessos at instant speed to cheat high-cost Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents directly onto the battlefield for just four mana. Once dominant threats like Koma, Cosmos Serpent, Hullbreaker Horror, and Spawning Kraken are in play, the deck breaks board symmetry using tribal-specific wipe spells such as Whelming Wave and Scourge of Fleets. Victory is achieved through overwhelming combat damage, amplified by evasion enablers like Serpent of Yawning Depths and Archetype of Imagination. With robust countermagic and high card quality, the deck provides consistent mid-game pressure.
