Deck overview

This deck is a Simic Ramp and Sea Monster deck helmed by Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait. The primary strategy focuses on deploying an extensive suite of low-cost land ramp spells in the early turns to power out Aesi ahead of curve on turn 4 or 5. Once Aesi is established, additional land drops convert directly into compounding card draw, quickly filling the player's hand with high-impact legendary Krakens, Leviathans, and Serpents. The deck exerts lethal table pressure around turn 6 with threats like Koma, Cosmos Serpent, Avenger of Zendikar, and Spawning Kraken. Rather than relying on infinite combos, it closes out the game on turn 8 by utilizing asymmetric board clears such as Whelming Wave and Cyclonic Rift or unblockable effects from Serpent of Yawning Depths to push through lethal combat damage across two combat cycles.
