Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Golgari attrition and Voltron strategy commanded by Ygra, Eater of All. Ygra turns every other creature on the battlefield into a Food artifact. This unique ability turns standard artifact destruction spells like Wear Down and Broken Bond into efficient creature removal. Furthermore, asymmetric cards like Bane of Progress wipe opposing boards clean while placing huge stacks of +1/+1 counters on Ygra. The deck ramps early through mana dorks and signets to deploy Ygra on Turn 4. Once Ygra is active, edict effects like Fleshbag Marauder and mass death triggers feed Ygra rapidly, quickly transforming it into a 20+ power lethal threat. Evasion enablers like Garruk's Uprising and direct damage spells like Essence Harvest close out the table. Viridian Revel and Deathreap Ritual keep the hand full of answers, creating a resilient midrange engine that punishes opposing creature decks.
