Deck overview

This is a mono-black aristocrats attrition deck helmed by Ayara, First of Locthwain. The plan floods the board with black creatures and tokens, then converts every death into life drain, card advantage, and mana via a dense suite of sacrifice outlets and death-payoff engines. Ayara, First of Locthwain is both a repeatable drain trigger on black ETBs and a sac-draw engine in the command zone, accelerating the grind. Primary wins come from infinite sacrifice loops (notably Gravecrawler or Bloodghast with outlets and drain pieces) and overwhelming life-loss from stacked triggers (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Syr Konrad, the Grim, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Kokusho, the Evening Star). Secondary paths include edict locks with Grave Pact/Dictate of Erebos and mass reanimation via Funeral Room // Awakening Hall or Sheoldred, Whispering One. The deck plays a classic midrange aristocrats game: develop, drain, recur, and close through inevitable life loss.
