Smeagol, Helpful Guide by Dr-Killem

Format: Commander

Commander: Sméagol, Helpful Guide

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Smeagol, Helpful Guide helms a BG aristocrats/mill-ramp hybrid. The primary plan is to sacrifice a token every turn to trigger Smeagol's Ring tempt, stealing a land from an opponent and milling the revealed cards, with Syr Konrad converting those deaths and milled creature cards into table-wide damage. Secondary paths are token-drain pressure through Chatterfang, Mirkwood Bats, and Zulaport Cutthroat, plus big-mana finishes such as Hoarding Broodlord tutoring Exsanguinate or a protected Marit Lage. Syr Konrad is effectively a hidden commander and the central payoff. The deck remains functional without Smeagol, but loses its premium land-theft acceleration.
