Deck overview

This deck is a skeletal shell built around Arna Kennerüd, Skycaptain. The 99 consists entirely of 88 lands and 10 mana artifacts, notably including 25 basic Forest cards that produce off-color mana. Because the 99 contains no Auras, Equipment, or counter-granting permanents, Arna's signature ability to copy attached cards and double counters never triggers. Instead, the deck functions exclusively by deploying Arna on Turn 4 and attacking as an unboosted 4/4 flying lifelink creature. With no card draw, tutors, or interaction spells, the deck experiences severe mana flood, top-deck stagnation, and zero capability to disrupt opponents. It relies entirely on combat damage across 18 turn cycles to eliminate a table, making it completely non-viable in structured multiplayer games.
