Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Grist, Voracious Larva as an ultra-low-cost engine that transforms into a planeswalker to generate Insect tokens and self-mill key resources. The deck operates as an Aristocrats Reanimator strategy, utilizing high-velocity ramp and efficient graveyard tutors to stage a game-ending combo. Its primary win condition pairs Warren Soultrader, Forsaken Miner, and Blood Artist to produce infinite life drain on turn 4. When combo lines are pressured, the deck pivots naturally into value attrition, leveraging Insidious Roots, Scute Swarm, Mazirek, and Finale of Devastation to overwhelm the table with wide token boards and counters. A lean interaction suite featuring free removal like Deadly Rollick, Force of Vigor, and Snuff Out ensures the deck can disrupt faster opponents while protecting its own development.
