Captain Storm is a cheap artifact-ETB payoff that turns Izzet Pirates into a growing voltron force while every Treasure, Clue, and Equipment also feeds an explosive mana economy. The primary plan is to flood the board with cheap Pirates and artifact tokens, then point a large Commander at opponents with Rogue's Passage, Embercleave, or Dain Ironfoot's double strike. The secondary plan is the Brass's Bounty + Mechanized Production victory, with Storm the Vault // Vault of Catlacan and Goldspan Dragon providing the mid-game mana jump. Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer operates as a hidden commander in the 99: his hasty Myr and ability to turn every token into a copy let the deck convert incidental artifacts into one massive closing swing. The double-faced engines are used on both faces: Dowsing Device becomes a haste/anthem land, while Storm the Vault flips into artifact-based mana.
