Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Killian, Decisive Mentor to turn opposing creatures into forced weapons while drawing significant cards. Whenever an enchantment enters the battlefield, Killian taps down a key creature and goads it. When enchanted creatures attack, Killian draws cards, rewarding the pilot for spreading Auras across the table. Defensive enchantments like Sphere of Safety, Blind Obedience, and Eriette of the Charmed Apple shield the pilot from retaliatory damage. Threat onset occurs around Turn 5 when scaling cards like Crescendo of War, Wound Reflection, or Super State exponentially increase table damage. Opponents are forced to batter each other down over two combat rotations before the pilot finishes the lone survivor on Turn 7. The list boasts outstanding recursion through Retether and Mantle of the Ancients, exceptional spot removal, and robust shielding via Greater Auramancy and Clever Concealment.
