Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari lifegain typal swarm deck commanded by Blech, Loafing Pest. The core strategy revolves around creating small creature tokens—specifically Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders—and triggering lifegain effects to distribute +1/+1 counters across the entire army. Supported by continuous token engines like Scute Swarm, Arasta of the Endless Web, and Iridescent Hornbeetle, the board scales in power while life-drain cards like Dina, Soul Steeper and Starscape Cleric whittle away opposing life totals. The deck also contains an alternate win condition in the classic two-card infinite combo of Dina, Soul Steeper and Exquisite Blood. With consistent mana development, moderate interaction, and board-wide resilience options like Inspiring Call, the deck aims to establish an overwhelming board presence by Turn 6 and eliminate the table through combat and direct drain by Turn 8.
