Deck overview

Dina, Soul Steeper helms a focused Golgari lifegain-drain combo deck engineered to assemble deterministic infinite win conditions swiftly and resiliently. The primary game plan revolves around pairing Dina with Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror, creating an instant feedback loop where any life gain or loss drains all three opponents to zero life. In parallel, the deck runs the compact Witherbloom Apprentice and Chain of Smog combination, providing a self-contained four-mana alternate kill that bypasses the commander entirely. Backed by a dense suite of unconditional black tutors and mana acceleration like Dark Ritual and Sol Ring, the deck consistently presents lethal combo attempts on turn 4. A robust Golgari interaction and protection package—featuring Veil of Summer, Defense Grid, Deadly Rollick, and Force of Vigor—shields combo turns from opposing countermagic and spot removal while dismantling critical opposing threats.
