Deck overview

This Simic deck combines heavy Landfall ramp with Merfolk tribal synergies. Commanded by Tatyova, Steward of Tides, the primary game plan focuses on rapidly ramping to seven lands to turn entering lands into 3/3 flying creatures with haste. A dense suite of low-mana ramp spells, extra land enablers, and landfall card engines like Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait and Hakbal of the Surging Soul maintain velocity and resource advantage. Win conditions include attacking with animated flying lands, creating overwhelming token armies through Avenger of Zendikar and Scute Swarm, or finishing opponents with Triumph of the Hordes. The deck includes a solid suite of counterspells and protection spells such as Heroic Intervention and Fierce Guardianship to shield its board. While vulnerable to creature sweepers that simultaneously wipe out animated lands, the deck features excellent mana consistency and resilient land recursion engines to rebuild efficiently.
