Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim and combines aristocrat sacrifice strategies with lifegain synergies. The deck focuses on deploying efficient lifegain creatures, token producers, and death-drain engines in the early-to-mid turns. By Turn 5, it establishes a functional engine where every entering creature pads the life total and every dying creature drains opponents. Critical pressure is applied around Turn 7 using high-impact token generators such as Grave Titan and Elspeth, Storm Slayer, backed by attrition tools like Grave Pact. The deck grinds opponents down across two response cycles, closing out the table around Turn 9 via combat damage, passive drain triggers, or an Exsanguinate burst. While the deck possesses resilient recursion and strong creature suppression, it remains susceptible to stack interaction and noncreature mass exile.
