Deck overview

This is an Orzhov aristocrats/sacrifice deck helmed by Hei Bai, Spirit of Balance. The core plan is to deploy a steady stream of cheap creatures and artifacts, sacrifice them to grow Hei Bai with +1/+1 counters, and grind out incremental advantage through drain effects, recursion, and card draw. The commander's leave-the-battlefield trigger transfers its counters to another creature, creating a resilient threat that survives removal. Primary win conditions are commander damage from an oversized Hei Bai and incremental life drain from Lampad of Death's Vigil, Onyx Goblet, Trespasser's Curse, and Silent Skimmer. The deck leans heavily on recursion - Sanitarium Skeleton, Dregscape Zombie, Blood Beckoning, and Font of Return - to keep feeding the sacrifice engine. It is a slow, grindy value deck with no fast mana, no tutors, and no infinite combos, relying on out-valuing opponents over a long game.
