Deck overview

This mono-black Aristocrats deck is built around Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER and his transformation into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel. The deck aims to deploy Sephiroth on Turn 3 and immediately trigger his transformation on Turn 4 by casting symmetrical edict creatures like Fleshbag Marauder and Merciless Executioner. In a four-player pod, a single edict forces four sacrifices, which fulfills Sephiroth's four-death requirement in one turn. Transforming Sephiroth grants a permanent, non-interactable emblem that drains 1 life from target opponent whenever any creature dies. The deck then compounds this attrition through damage multipliers such as The Masamune and Syr Konrad, the Grim, supported by recurring sacrifice fodder like Nine-Lives Familiar and mass reanimation via Living Death. It continuously clears opposing boards while converting death triggers into lethal table-wide drain by Turn 7.
