Deck overview

This deck is a Temur exile-matters and Voltron midrange strategy powered by the partner pairing of Pako, Arcane Retriever and Haldan, Avid Arcanist. The list heavily features Adventure creatures, which act as noncreature spells when cast on an Adventure and creatures on the battlefield. This synergy maximizes Pako's +1/+1 counter growth and provides a deep card pool for Haldan to cast from exile. The mana base uses on-curve ramp and fetchlands to deploy Pako on Turn 4 with natural haste. Once Pako begins exiling four cards per combat, Haldan unlocks opposing spells, extra lands, and removal. Lethality is achieved through commander damage accelerated by double strike, power-doubling effects, extra combat steps, or an infinite attack loop with Aggravated Assault and Sword of Feast and Famine. While vulnerable to instant-speed removal, the deck generates overwhelming card velocity by turning every attack into a four-card draw engine.
