Deck overview

This deck is an all-in five-color Stax prison deck using Child of Alara solely to access all five colors. Its strategy is total resource denial, flooding the board with more than fifty interlocking tax, rule of law, and mana-locking permanents. Between turns one and four, the deck deploys overlapping hate pieces such as Rule of Law, Trinisphere, Winter Orb, and Collector Ouphe to paralyze opposing spellcasting, library searches, activated abilities, and mana untaps. Operating on a resilient manabase of 32 basic lands, it easily breaks parity on nonbasic land hate like Blood Moon and Back to Basics. However, the deck completely lacks combo finishes, burst card advantage, and reactive countermagic. Winning requires grinding down three opponents through dozens of turns of chip combat damage using small hatebears or commander swings, leaving its permanent-based lock exposed to topdecked mass removal.
