(Toph) Bend This, Earth [Bracket 2] TLA-only by 1d10syncracy

Format: Commander

Commander: Toph, Hardheaded Teacher

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Gruul deck, led by Toph, Hardheaded Teacher, is a lands-matter "earthbending" strategy that turns lands into hasty creatures and overwhelms opponents with +1/+1 counters. Toph provides repeatable instant/sorcery recursion and an earthbend trigger on every spell cast, making even a simple Explore or Many Partings develop the battlefield. The deck leans heavily on Lesson spells, Ally synergies, and the Avatar/legendary payoff cycle to scale its land creatures. Primary wins come from combat damage: Bumi, Unleashed grants an extra combat phase, Avatar Kyoshi, Earthbender creates an 8/8 land every combat, and firebending mana from Zuko, Exiled Prince and Avatar Roku chains more spells into more animated lands. It is a midrange, incremental-value deck with no infinite combos, relying on a critical mass of animated lands and extra combat to close out the table.
