Abzan Armor by austin_stalbaum

Format: Commander

Commander: Felothar the Steadfast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

A toughness-matters deck built around Felothar the Steadfast. The commander lets all your defenders attack and makes combat damage use toughness, while its activated ability sacrifices a high-toughness creature to draw a large number of cards. The deck ramps with walls and mana dorks, then either activates Tree of Perdition to one-shot opponents or builds a massive board and swings with Canopy Gargantuan and Towering Titan. Redundancy for the commander's damage effect comes from Assault Formation, Bedrock Tortoise, and Baldin, Century Herdmaster. Protection and recursion are provided by Heroic Intervention, Shalai, and Colfenor's Urn. The deck is slow but explosive, and it depends heavily on Felothar for its draw engine and attack-enabling clause.
