Deck overview

This Mardu deck is commanded by Vihaan, Goldwaker and focuses on weaponizing Treasure tokens into aggressive creatures and indirect burn damage. The early game establishes a dense foundation of Treasure producers like Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff, Black Market Connections, and Professional Face-Breaker. On Turn 4, casting Vihaan enables an immediate offensive pivot by turning every Treasure into a 3/3 Construct Assassin with vigilance and haste. Because Treasures remain vigilant, they can attack for massive combat damage and still be sacrificed post-combat for mana or burn triggers. Secondary engines like Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, Reckless Fireweaver, and Mayhem Devil convert every token creation and sacrifice into lethal life loss across the table. While vulnerable to artifact sweepers and lacking stack interaction, the deck maintains high redundancy, efficient spot removal, and rapid recovery through stored artifact velocity.
