Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange strategy centered on Wraith tribal synergies, the Ring tempts you mechanic, and high-impact reanimation payoffs led by Sauron, Lord of the Rings. The early game focuses on deploying 2-mana rocks to establish mana fixing, followed by chaining copies of Nazgûl and Lord of the Nazgûl. Each Ring-tempt trigger places +1/+1 counters on all Wraiths, quickly transforming small deathtouch creatures into imposing board threats. In the mid-to-late game, the deck leverages reanimation spells such as Reanimate, Too Greedily, Too Deep, and Sauron's on-cast trigger to deploy colossal threats like The Balrog of Moria and Inferno Titan. Asymmetric disruption like Raise the Palisade clears opposing boards while leaving Wraiths untouched, paving the way for lethal combat damage over turns 6 through 8. While the list excels at sustained creature combat and graveyard value, its high mana curve and vulnerability to mass exile effects require careful resource management.
