Deck overview

A Golgari aristocrat deck built around the Shadowheart/Master Chef background pair. Master Chef is the engine: every creature you control enters with a +1/+1 counter, which cancels the -1/-1 counter from persist and enables repeatable sacrifice loops. Shadowheart turns high-power creatures such as Daemogoth Titan and Yargle into huge bursts of card draw. The primary win is an infinite persist loop with a free sacrifice outlet and a death-trigger drain such as Sanguinary Priest. Secondary lines drain incrementally with aristocrats, reanimate with Victimize and Altar of Bhaal, and close with large evasive beaters. The deck is mid-speed and value-dense but vulnerable to instant-speed removal of Master Chef.
