Hybrid Costs by Noah0603

Format: Commander

Commander: Providence of Night

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This five-color deck is built around Providence of Night's unique ability to copy every hybrid-mana spell you cast. The commander's protection from monocolored makes it difficult to remove, while the copying engine doubles the impact of token generators, mana dorks, value creatures, and utility instants. The primary game plan is to deploy one of the many token doublers (Anointed Procession, Parallel Lives, Doubling Season, Primal Vigor, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, Adrix and Nev, Twincasters, Exalted Sunborn) and then flood the board with giant token armies via spells like Spectral Procession, Pest Summoning, or creatures with myriad. The deck also leans on hybrid-costed creatures with converge, evoke, and other versatile abilities to generate overwhelming value off each copy. Without a dedicated combo finish, the win condition is combat inevitability - a wide, doubled board of tokens that eventually overwhelms all opponents. A singleton Time Warp can accelerate the clock, and Vraska, Betrayal's Sting offers a slow poison-based alternate finish.
