Deck overview

This deck is a combat-centric spellslinger list commanded by Fire Lord Azula. The primary game plan revolves around casting Azula on Turn 4 and attacking on Turn 5 to leverage her Firebending 2 ability alongside her spell-duplicating combat trigger. By casting inexpensive pump spells, evasion tricks, or double-strike enablers at instant speed during combat, the deck copies each effect to produce massive bursts of commander damage capable of eliminating an opponent in a single swing. Outside of Azula, the deck features secondary prowess threats like Tempest Angler and high-end beaters like Angrath's Marauders. Its resource base is grounded in standard artifact ramp and looting effects to keep velocity steady. Because the deck focuses heavily on direct combat, it relies on aggressive player elimination rather than stax or defensive control, making its operational window fast but vulnerable to well-timed opposing removal.
