New Untitled Deck by Roan

Format: Commander

Commander: Gargos, Vicious Watcher

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gargos, Vicious Watcher leads a mono-green hydra swarm that wins by making one hydra enormous and turning it sideways. The commander is primarily a cost reducer and repeatable removal engine: every Hydra spell costs four less, and every spell aimed at your creatures makes Gargos fight. The deck has no hidden commander; the plan is straightforward ramp, drop Gargos, then chain cheap hydras while building +1/+1 counters. Secondary paths include Hydra Broodmaster tokens, commander damage from an unblockable Gargos, and Hydra Omnivore's all-opponent damage trigger. Protection comes from Asceticism and Heroic Intervention rather than counterspells, and the whole game plan depends on resolving one large trample threat against an open board.
