Deck overview

This deck is a competitive EDH 5-color midrange combo strategy led by Sisay, Weatherlight Captain. The primary game plan seeks a fast, compact victory via Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, reliably executing by Turn 3. An explosive mana base featuring 14 pieces of 0-to-1 mana acceleration, 10 fetchlands, and rainbow fixing powers out early engines or universal tutors like Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor. The deck protects its win attempts with format-defining interaction, including Silence, Grand Abolisher, Veil of Summer, and free counterspells like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship. If the primary combo is contested, Sisay functions as an uncounterable toolbox engine, tutoring high-impact legendary permanents such as Teferi, Time Raveler, Dihada, Binder of Wills, and Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy. With backup win conditions through Kinnan-Basalt mana loops and Najeela, the Blade-Blossom combat lines, the deck adapts smoothly across varying pod tempos.
