Deck overview

Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff pilots a low-to-the-ground Orzhov treasure-and-combo deck. The primary plan is to convert Lotho's second-spell triggers into Treasures, amplify them with Academy Manufactor and Smothering Tithe, then race into a two-card infinite loop behind cheap hatebears. The fastest kill is Heliod, Sun-Crowned plus Walking Ballista: give Ballista lifelink, ping, gain 1 life, Heliod adds a counter, repeat for infinite damage. Backup loops use Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Enduring Tenacity or Marauding Blight-Priest, and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed with Triskelion or Walking Ballista. Heliod acts as the closest thing to a hidden commander; Lotho is the actual general, providing acceleration and token synergies rather than being a required combo piece.
