Deck overview

This deck leverages Sauron, the Dark Lord as both a resilient threat and a high-velocity card engine. By deploying efficient 2-CMC mana rocks on early turns, it reliably casts Sauron on Turn 4. Sauron punishes opposing spells by amassing Orc Armies, which then trigger Ring tempt mechanics upon dealing combat damage. Each Ring trigger allows you to discard your hand and draw four fresh cards, continuously filling the graveyard while digging for answers. The deck capitalizes on this discard engine through Archfiend of Ifnir to clear enemy boards and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse to gain immense life.
