Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity mono-black combo deck built around Vilis, Broker of Blood. It leverages life total as an aggressive resource to generate overwhelming card advantage and fast mana. By combining rituals, cost reducers, and reanimation spells, the deck aims to deploy Vilis on Turn 4. Once Vilis is active, every point of life lost translates directly into card draw, enabling explosive storm-like turns. The deck uses Skirge Familiar to convert drawn cards into black mana, while Sheoldred, the Apocalypse offsets life costs. The primary route to victory is the infinite life-drain combo between Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Starscape Cleric, or drawing the entire library to win with Doctor Doom, Unrivaled. While the deck possesses explosive speed and high resilience through alternate engines like Peer into the Abyss and K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, it remains vulnerable to targeted creature removal, aggressive burn, and non-creature permanent locks.
