Samwise the real main character of LotR by thatdukeluke

Format: Commander

Commander: Samwise Gamgee

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Selesnya Food-token and legendary-matters value deck built around Samwise Gamgee's repeatable recursion engine. The core plan is to generate a steady stream of Food tokens from enter-the-battlefield effects like Bill the Pony, Bristlebud Farmer, and Farmer Cotton, then use Samwise's activated ability to return historic permanents to hand every turn. The deck wins primarily through incremental combat advantage: Cadira, Caller of the Small turns tokens into more tokens, Hobbit's Sting converts the Food board into spot removal, and War of the Last Alliance plus Motivated Pony close games with combat pump and double strike. Secondary synergy comes from Peregrin Took, Rosie Cotton of South Lane, and Gandalf the White doubling triggers, while Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle and Shigeki, Jukai Visionary provide backup recursion channels.
