Deck overview

This deck is a Jund Lands Midrange strategy commanded by Szarel, Genesis Shepherd. It revolves around sacrificing lands, filling the graveyard, and replaying lands to trigger powerful landfall and sacrifice abilities. The early turns focus on developing mana with standard green ramp spells and setting up sacrifice outlets like Sylvan Safekeeper or Zuran Orb. By Turn 5, Szarel hits the board to grant graveyard land access and distribute +1/+1 counters whenever nontoken permanents are sacrificed. On Turn 6, the deck pivots into its critical win condition by deploying heavy hitters like Titania, Protector of Argoth, Omnath, Locus of Rage, or resolving Splendid Reclamation. These engines quickly generate massive boards of 5/3 and 5/5 tokens alongside colossal tramplers. The deck steadily overwhelms opponents through combat damage and direct burn across Turns 7 and 8, leveraging resilient graveyard recursion to rebuild against opposing disruption.
