The Cooler Henzie by user5877787

Format: Commander

Commander: Henzie "Toolbox" Torre

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Henzie "Toolbox" Torre turns the deck's expensive creature package into a hasty, card-drawing assault. The primary plan is to cast high-mana-value creatures with blitz for cheap, trigger their enters-the-battlefield and attack effects, then let them die to draw cards while recursion spells like Living Death and Reanimate bring them back. Secondary paths include using Greater Good and Skullclamp to churn through the deck and assemble a mass-reanimation turn, and using tutors like Survival of the Fittest and Birthing Pod as an engine. The commander's role is a cost-reducing draw engine; the deck does not hinge on a hidden commander. The double-faced cards-Etali, Ojer Kaslem, and Sheoldred-are built primarily for their front-face utility; their back faces are situational late-game options.
