Deck overview

This deck is a Villain-tribal value engine helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, built around the discard-lands-for-life-drain and connive mechanics. The primary game plan is to establish a board of Villain creatures, trigger connive repeatedly to filter cards and grow creatures, and use the commander's land-discard trigger to chip away at opponents' life totals while generating incremental advantage. The deck relies on a swarm of token makers (Madame Hydra, Endless Ranks of HYDRA, Ultron, Unlimited) and haymakers like Living Laser and The Squadron Sinister to close out games through combat damage. Secondary win conditions include incidental drain from Kang, Temporal Tyrant and the ability to play cards from exile via Containment Construct, Moonstone, Harsh Mistress, and Currency Converter. The deck is a slow, synergistic midrange build that aims to outvalue opponents over many turns.
