MINUS ONE - REAPER KING by user4823318

Format: Commander

Commander: The Reaper, King No More

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jund -1/-1 counter attrition deck helmed by The Reaper, King No More, built on three interlocking layers: distributing -1/-1 counters as removal, converting every counter into tokens/draw/drain through a dense payoff suite, and stealing opponents' dead creatures via the commander and Necroskitter. Proliferation is everywhere - Contagion Clasp, Contagion Engine, Evolution Sage, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Atomize, Drown in Ichor, Unnatural Restoration, and Whisper of the Dross - so the engine compounds each turn. Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician act as hidden commanders that often outperform the actual commander. The cleanest wins are the infinite Devoted Druid loops (with Quillspike or Mikaeus, the Unhallowed), converted to a table kill by payoffs like Obelisk Spider, All Will Be One, The Meathook Massacre, or Flourishing Defenses. Absent the combo, the deck grinds pods out with wither damage, one-sided upkeep wipes under Maha, Its Feathers Night, and creature theft.
