Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie aristocrats engine commanded by The Ghoul, Gunslinger. It leverages the commander's ability to generate rad counters and Treasure tokens whenever nontoken Zombies die, converting creature churn into ramp and mill. The game plan centers on assembling three complementary components: a repeatable sacrifice outlet, recursive creature fodder such as Gravecrawler, and death-trigger drain engines like Blood Artist and Bastion of Remembrance. High-synergy pieces like Undead Augur and Skullclamp provide overwhelming card flow, while Bolas's Citadel, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Living Death act as potent midgame finishers. While the deck boasts efficient creature interaction and rapid recovery through reanimation, its mono-black color identity leaves it vulnerable to rest-in-peace style graveyard hate and resolved noncreature permanents.
