VIAL/THRAS by user3179163

Format: Commander

Commander: Vial Smasher the Fierce and Thrasios, Triton Hero

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This four-color Partner deck pairs Thrasios, Triton Hero as a repeatable card-advantage engine with Vial Smasher the Fierce as incidental reach. The primary game plan is to ramp aggressively, deploy cost-reducers like Training Grounds and Biomancer's Familiar to make Thrasios's activated ability nearly free, then chain activations to draw cards and put extra lands into play. The accumulated mana fuels high-impact spells such as Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, while Vial Smasher punishes opponents each turn with damage equal to the mana value of the first spell cast. The deck wins through incremental value, big Eldrazi beats, and the random but cumulative pressure from Vial Smasher.
