Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange strategy centered on Marchesa, Dealer of Death and the crime mechanic. Every targeted interaction spell, from Shoot the Sheriff to Rakdos Charm, doubles as a card-selection engine by allowing Marchesa to dig two cards deep for just one additional mana. The list converts this reactive posture into proactive board advantage through payoffs like Gisa, the Hellraiser, which generates an army of menacing Zombies, and Magda, the Hoardmaster, which converts crimes into Treasures and Dragons. A robust mana rock suite ensures early deployment, while flexible reanimation and high-end threats like Sepulchral Primordial and Niv-Mizzet, Parun give the deck strong late-game staying power. Without relying on infinite combos, the deck controls the tempo of the table through efficient trades, gradually suffocating opponents with card velocity and overwhelming combat pressure.
