Deck overview

This Bant deck is helmed by Kros, Defense Contractor and focuses on weaponizing opponents' creatures through targeted counter placement, tapping, and goading. By distributing shield, +1/+1, and other counters to opposing threats, Kros turns enemy boards into forced offensive weapons that must attack other players with trample. The deck supports this game plan with a robust suite of proliferate enablers like Evolution Sage, Flux Channeler, and Inexorable Tide, ensuring that existing counters repeatedly trigger Kros's tap-and-goad ability each turn. Defensive layers such as Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, and Nils, Discipline Enforcer prevent opponents from redirecting aggression back at the pilot. Meanwhile, card advantage engines like Generous Patron and Verity Circle keep hand sizes full as opponents' creatures are manipulated. Once the opposition is weakened by mutual combat attrition, the deck closes the game using large threats like Sin, Unending Cataclysm or wide pump from Brokers Ascendancy.
