Deck overview

This Gruul stompy deck is piloted by Bumi, Unleashed, turning lands into formidable combat threats via the Earthbend mechanic. Early turns focus on accelerating mana through low-cost dorks and ramp spells to deploy Bumi on Turn 4. Upon entry, Bumi immediately animates a land into a 4/4 haste attacker. On Turn 5, Bumi swings with trample; connecting with a player untaps all lands and grants a bonus combat phase exclusively for land creatures. The deck leverages this doubled combat step alongside heavy hitters like Toph, Greatest Earthbender, Bristly Bill, Spine Sower, and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus to overwhelm opposing life totals. Protection spells like Heroic Intervention and Deflecting Swat safeguard the board, while the built-in recursion of Earthbend ensures lands return to play even after board wipes.
